Kelsy Chauvin is a freelance writer, editor, and photographer based in Brooklyn. Her work has been published by Fodor’s, Afar, Condé Nast Traveler, CNN TravelShermansTravel, Budget Travel, The Points Guy, Travel Market Report, National Geographic Traveler, and other media. Travel, gastronomy, culture, and cannabis tourism are among Kelsy’s specialties. She also is a devoted reporter for the LGBTQ+ market, frequently contributing to Passport, Curve, EDGE Media Network, Gay City News, and other outlets.

Kelsy co-authors both the annual New York City and Brooklyn guide books for Fodor’s Travel. She’s also co-authored several Frommer’s guide books; as well as Rand McNally’s annual Best of the Road Atlas & Guide, and America Travels book series.

Kelsy is president of the New York Travel Writers Association (NYTW.info), and is a longtime member of the International Gay & Lesbian Travel Association (IGLTA.org). As a speaker, Kelsy has participated on panels at the New York Times Travel Show, the PRSA Travel & Tourism Conference, Philadelphia Travel & Adventure Show, and Travel Gay Canada Tourism Conference. She’s also been quoted in several New York Times articles as an LGBTQ travel expert.
